Matt and Lacy Part 2…

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

Two days later and it’s the big day for both Matt and Lacy. The ceremony and reception were held at a beautiful little church here in Ruskin called Saint John the Divine. Matt wore his pressed white uniform and Lacy looked ever so elegant as well.

As if signifying an approving providence over the union, the sun trickled through the stained glass window enveloping the couple as they exchanged vows.

Congratulations to you both and thank you for letting us take part in this day with you and always remember:

May fair winds and following seas accompany you two wherever you may go…

So tonight we welcomed Lacy and Matt into the studio to do an engagement shoot. You see, everyone here was under the gun. With only a limited amount of shore leave, Matt flew down and no sooner had he gotten off the plane than was he headed down to take some pictures.

We spent about an hour or so shooting several different looks and went straight to post-production, with many sets of eyes pouring over every minute detail. At the end of the night (somewhere around 9:30 or so) Matt and Lacy departed with a CD of their images.

We’ll see you two in a couple of days at the wedding! Until then (and for everyone else) here’s a shot of some frames they had developed and mounted so that their guests could sign…

Sunday came on a Saturday.

What’s that you ask? It’s a complete sentence to us… and makes perfect sense too. OK, apologies to Sunday (a model) who stopped by this weekend (on a Saturday) to do a shoot. We kept it simple, just did a few looks in front of a more traditional background instead of going out on location today.

On a side note, we completely blame the weatherman for this. It was supposed to rain all weekend - and we ended up not seeing a drop. Not knowing this (and expecting rain at the time) we decided to stay in all day. Ugh.

Enough ranting and on with a picture… Ciao!

Sunday on a Saturday.

Hot, hot, hot!

Laurie swung by the studio today to do some outdoor scenes: we both wanted to do some shots at the pool *AND* the beach. For most folks, working outside in the heat and humidity can definitely take its toll. But for us, it meant that getting a little wet was a welcome respite.

And if Laurie looks familiar to you, odds are you’ve been to the South Tampa Hooters. Speaking of which, make sure you give her your full support in the Hooters (Tampa Bay Area) online bikini contest and vote for her right here. As of this writing, you can find her as contestant number 48. Get those votes in!!

If you’re possibly not convinced (we wouldn’t know why), make sure you visit one of our gallery pages for a few more pix here.

Until then, here’s a couple of pictures - we hope you like them as much as we do… and good luck Laurie!

Little Hearts… (beat the strongest of all)

Friday, May 4th, 2007

So we did a heart-touching shoot today for a set of twins named Ian and Caitlin. They were absolutely adorable and definitely put up with us as we snapped away.

While taking pictures of children is always rewarding (note to parents, never worry if a little one gets excited or sad or just wants to play, we always try to keep our shoots fun!)… but this shoot was all the more special because of the strength of little Caitlin.

Without going into too much detail, let’s just say that Caitlin (and family) are active in the Little Hearts Organization (click here to learn more)…

We learned a lot this weekend… and were ever thankful for our time together. If you have the time or capacity, we would encourage everyone to consider charitable groups such as Little Hearts or the Make a Wish foundation.
